Read only, never in control
Nexus only reads values from your plant. It has no way to send a command to a machine or a control system, so a problem on our side cannot reach your production.

Marvex Nexus holds the readings and reports of industrial plants. This is how we keep them: where they live, who can see them, how they are copied, and what happens if something goes wrong.
Only your people see your data
Your readings and reports are open only to the users your administrator authorizes. MARVEX staff and our sales partners do not see your reports; MARVEX looks only at what keeps the service running, such as disk use and connection status.
Where it is kept
Data is kept in a professional data centre (Railway, United States) and always travels encrypted (HTTPS). The sites are protected by Cloudflare against attack traffic and mass sign-in attempts.
Strong sign-in
Passwords are stored only in a form that cannot be turned back into the password. Two-step sign-in is available to every user and required for MARVEX accounts; repeated wrong attempts lock the address out, and you can sign out of every device at once.
A record that cannot be rewritten
Every change and sign-in is written to an activity log that the system never edits or deletes. Each entry is sealed into a chain, so a removed or altered entry is detected when the chain is checked.
Copies at another company
Besides the data centre's own daily copy, a full copy goes every week to a second company (Cloudflare R2), sealed with a key that company does not hold. Each copy is read back and counted before the previous one is removed, and restoring from a copy is rehearsed.
Checked uploads
Files uploaded to Nexus are accepted only in known formats, checked by their contents rather than their name, and scanned for viruses before they are kept. Files carrying macros, scripts or a virus are refused, and our team is alerted at once.
Your data, yours to take
Your administrators can download your reports and any day's raw readings at any time, from any clean device. A lost or infected computer at your plant loses nothing, because nothing is kept only on it. When a contract ends, you can take all of your data before it is deleted.
